Evening of Short Stories featuring STEVE GENG the author of "Thick as Thieves", NAYANDA MOORE & ROSE FONTANELLA

Steve Geng, a New York junky for most of his adult life, has been, among other things, an actor, a saloon-keeper, a convict, and a professional shoplifter. Three years ago his first book,a personal memoir about him and his sister, Thick As Thieves, was published to rave reviews. Today he's working on his first novel, Bo
p City, a historical thriller that takes place during the Algerian Crisis in Paris in 1961.

Nayanda Moore was born and raised in Queens, New York. The married-single mother of two has been writing poems and short stories since she was 7. Currently her focus is in the creative non-fiction genre where she takes a small aspect from her life and re-creates a moment just for the hell of it. Nayanda graduated from NYU in 2009 and she is hoping this, her first public reading.

Rose Fontanella is a proud Italian-American daughter, artist, writer, comedian, antiques' dealer and storyteller. She began performing in the 1980's when a corporate takeover forced her out of a job. "I wanted to show that older women still have a lot to offer." Rose is a member of the "Pearls of Wisdom," a select group of seniors who share their life stories at community settings. She has presented her comedy and stories at the Cornelia St. Cafe and other performance centers in NYC and NJ. Her current projects is writing a collection of her family stories under the title of, "Confessions of the Shoemaker's Daughter", to be completed by her 85th birthday.
